Memphis starts the racing season against racers from Illinois, but rain comes and ends the night. JJ sets up another race night with an unfriendly group from Detroit. They make a bet that whichever city wins 7 races first, wins the total $20,000.

A group of racers from Indiana come to race the Memphis family. JJ must keep his son calm when the racers get dishonest. Gulley is back racing after a crash. Then, Memphis heads to Ohio to meet up with a group who's got flashy cars and deep pockets.
