Naked and Afraid XL takes a sneak peak into the toughest ever survival challenge. Twelve Naked and Afraid veterans will attempt to last 40 days and 40 nights in the Colombian badlands. Will their enemy be Mother Nature or each other?

Naked & Afraid XL drops twelve veteran survivalists into the badlands of Colombia. Their challenge is to survive 40 days & 40 nights with no food, water, or clothes. Standing in their way are deadly predators, the stifling heat and each other.

After a week of being dropped into the dangerous and desolate badlands of Colombia with no food or water, one survivalist has already tapped out, another is on the brink, and hunger, thirst, and distrust are threatening to take down several more.

After fourteen days, many who remain are struggling to adapt to their environment and each other. Some consider migrating to try and find new resources, while in other camps tension continues to rise and may lead to our second tap out of the season.

The remaining survivalists trek across the scorching savanna to find food.

The 10 remaining survivalists cross the 21-day milestone and enter into uncharted waters. Scarce resources send the survivalists on a collision course. They fight for their lives with a huge electric eel and are visited by a gigantic puma.

The dehydrated and protein-starved competitors compete for resources.

The survivalists struggle to find nourishment to survive extraction.

The groups begin the treacherous, 10-mile journey to the extraction point.

The survivors reunite to discuss the challenge and answer fan questions.

Makani desperately pushes through the broiling valley to find a new tribe. Ryan hatches a high-risk plan to get a kill. Suzanne plots her exit from Seth, but Africa's heat thwarts her plan and forces a survivalist to leave the challenge.

With extraction just days away, one survivalist goes against the group, is banished and must try to complete the challenge alone. Gwen and Sarah deploy crossbows as they push for one last kill. A deadly snake could end someone's challenge on Day 40.
